My mom and I are going to have a 10 days weight loss journey and see what will happen after we finish this journey. You don’t have to go on a diet, but you have to carefully control your meal size. I think the diet plan won’t be too hard for someone who has the spirit to take action for a better and healthier life. If you eat like a horse, this diet plan may be too difficult for you. You must stop eating treats!! However, I will try those popular diet plans to test if it works better or worse for our bodies. I will share my diet plans and meals with you guys. I will talk more about my diet plans later in my daily blog. I will try different diet plans every 3 weeks because I want to show you guys that different diet styles have their best and worse things. You can know which diet plan is the most for you and I also tell you about my opinions on every diet plan. 😊😊

Day 1 -6/20/2020
My current weight is 56.5 kg and my mom’s current is 52.4 kg.

I set our meal size is 75% which means rice is 25% ( you can count it as half of your fist), protein 15% ( you can count it as 3 fingers crossed), plant 35% ( you can count it as one and a half of your fist), and fruits 10%( you can count it as a small plate). Crackers and bread sticks are acceptable. I will post pictures on my daily blog that is more clear than just words.
After knowing that important meal size for our diet plan, I will talk about how I want to choose this diet plan. First, this is mainly a plant diet plan and focus on the weight, not the body shape. The diet plan is easy for everyone, maybe you don’t know the calories and other academic stuff, but you also have to try this diet. Second, we talk about losing weight and people might think about vegan or someone who just absorbs plants only. I’m going to tell you NOT. You can still eat meat, fish, and other different kinds of meat. But you need to know the size. Third, don’t be too harsh on your diet, because we still have to absorb different kinds of nutrients from our meals. We can’t just eat one type of food. We have to eat variously instead.
Today’s lunch recipe:
Brown rice 25%, pork pie 15%, fried Broccoli and cabbage 35%, plus 1 liter of water with chia seed and a small plate of cherry tomato( we planted these cherry tomatoes in our backyard).




Today’s dinner recipe
Brown rice 25%, fried pork 15%, fried Broccoli 35%, plus 1 liter of water with chia seed.

We also ate four pieces of crackers.
We went workout 30 minutes today, and we also have to do exercise to build muscle.

Day 2 -6/21/2020
Today’s notes:
I felt really hungry when I woke up this morning. Maybe I didn’t eat anything after dinner, fasting for almost 12 hours. But it seems weird because I wake up really late. I usually wake up at 12-1:30 pm, so I skip my breakfast. I think it may fit me, not everyone!! However, I feel good for the first day of our journey!! My current weight is 56.3 kg and my mom’s current weight is 52.4 kg. Now, we still can’t see the significant changes, but let’s see what will happen or changes on the last day of our journey.
Today’s breakfast
Scallion pancake ( a small plate), sugar-free coffee (a small glass), 2 pieces of crackers.
My mom does have breakfast today because she woke up early and she usually has simple meals for breakfast. 😋😋

Today’s lunch recipe
Brown rice 25%, fried pork and steamed fish with soy sauce 15%, fried broccoli, and carrots 35%, plus 1 liter of water.

Today’s dinner recipe
Brown rice 25%, stir-fried glass noodle with minced pork 15%, fried broccoli 35%, plus 1.5 liters of water with chia seed.

We didn’t eat crackers or other treats today, when we feel hungry, we drink water because it can make you feel full and you can stop eating treats and crackers!! This is important for us to lose weight!!
We didn’t go workout today, but we did some simple stretching exercises. For example, we ran on the spot, we also did some high knees for 35 minutes.
Day 3- 6/22/2020
I felt awesome today and my current weight is 55.4 kg and my mom’s weight is 51.8 kg. I just saw a little changes on the numbers and I think just water loss. It’s really hard to fasting for 2 to 5 hours because I won’t eat after every meal. Nothing changes so far, so we plan to wait for the last day!!
Today’s breakfast
A taro bun ( I ate half of the taro bun), a boiled egg, three boiled dumplings ( a small bowl), plus a glass of water with chia seeds.

Today’s lunch
Rice 25%, steamed pork ribs 15%, lettuce with soy sauce 35%, plus 1 liter of water.

Today’s dinner
Rice 25%, fried pork chop 15%, scrambled eggs and tomatoes 35%, plus 2 liters of water.


We went jogging today for an hour and we felt exhausted. One thing I want to point out is that we don’t absorb any energy bar or sports drinks because these products contain carbohydrates and manufacturers do add some artificial coloring and flavoring into these sports drinks. Sports drinks can replace the electrolytes lost in sweat, and it will help improve your brain, heart, muscle, and nervous system. But you have to make sure you absorb the right percentage of electrolytes. Yes, sports drinks do have many benefits for us, but I still think drinking water is the best for our bodies.
Day 4- 6/23/2020
Today I felt my stomach was getting firmer and this’s a great sign to me. My current weight is 55.3 and I won’t eat treats or fruits after having dinner. This way won’t raise blood glucose. If I feel hungry, I will drink water to stop overeating at night or the wait time between meals.
Today’s lunch recipe
Rice 25%, sauté garlic broccoli and cucumbers 35%, fried mushroom with mince pork 15%, plus 2 glasses of water with chia seeds.

Today’s dinner recipe
I cooked two different dishes for today’s dinner, udon and rice vermicelli.
Udon / rice vermicelli 25%, boiled broccoli 35%, curry pork 15%, plus 4 glasses of water.


We did some high knees and ran on the spot for 35 minutes. We had 5 minutes break.
I plan to get bed early every night and wake up early at consistent times because it will boost my metabolism. Stay healthy.
Day 5- 6/24/2020
Time flies by, our 10 days weight loss journey is almost done and we still have a few days to finish this diet plan. I’m really excited to see the results. My current weight is 55.5 kg and my mom’s weight is 52.3 kg.

A bowl of dumplings( 6-7 dumplings), an egg, plus 1 liter of water.

Today’s lunch recipe
Brown rice 25%, steam minced pork 15%, curry chicken with carrots 35%, plus 1.5 liters of water.

Today’s dinner recipe
Curry noodles 25%, an egg, boiled broccoli 35%, no meat, plus 2 glasses of water.

We walked for an hour and we had 2 breaks, each break is 5 minutes. Sweating 😅 We love this feeling just like burning our calories. Funny thoughts!!🤣
Day 6-6/25/2020
Today’s lunch recipe
Today is Chinese Dragon Boat Festival so we will have steamed glutinous rice with chicken to celebrate this festival.

I had an Amazon Flex job in the afternoon til night. So we just ate a medium bowl of melons!!
Worked really hard and I did walked and delivered many packages. Exhausted 😴
Day 7-6/26/2020
Today is the last day of our journey and I’m going to tell you guys does this diet plan work or not?
Today’s lunch recipe
A large bowl of glutinous rice with chicken 45%
First, this diet plan doesn’t work for my mom because we didn’t have strict meals that we still can eat meat, melon, candies, and other foods. But we did control our serving size and we didn’t allow eating treats in the wait time between meals. Our plan was really flexible and we didn’t go on a diet. We didn’t schedule a time to workout, so it so slow to see the effort in just few days. Therefore, our weight doesn’t drop too fast and my mom’s weight still 55.6 kg. My current weight is 55.2 kg and I think I just loss water, not fat.
Second, I think our diet plan just focused on the serving size, not focused on the calories that we have to absorb in a day. This point told us that we would absorb too much because we just looked at the size, but we didn’t calculate every meals. We ate like normal and we didn’t stop eating those high fat, carbohydrates , and high oil content. For example, fried or sauté pork and beef, chicken wings, melon, and banana. Therefore, the diet plan doesn’t work and can’t burn calories so fast. It is not a great way to weight loss but if you just want to eat healthy, you can’t try this. If you want to lose weight in a month or you want to see significant changes to your weight, I won’t recommend this method to you. It doesn’t work at all for losing weight!!!!!
